Immortal’s Abdominal Tuina

This is a traditional practice in Chinese Medicine and Daoist Health preservation. It involves gentle abdominal massage to promote wellness and balance in the body. The abdomen is considered a vital area where internal organs, qi, Blood, and meridians converge. By working on the abdomen, this technique aims to improve digestion, regulate energy flow, and enhance overall health.
Principles
Regulating Qi: the abdomen is part of the middle burner ( middle jiao) in TCM. It helps smooth the Qi flow and improve spleen and stomach function.
Promoting blood circulation: this technique increases blood flow in the abdominal area, reducing stagnation and enhancing metabolism.
Harmonizing the organs: by stimulating the abdomen, this technique balances the internal organs through the meridian system.
Relaxation: the gentle and rhythmic movements can relieve tension, calm the mind, and promote relaxation.
